Aperitivo after the wedding – why 60–90 minutes makes a big difference
Setting aside 60–90 minutes for an aperitivo after the ceremony is one of the most important steps to create a flow and calm on your wedding day. During this period, guests can enjoy snacks and drinks in a relaxed environment, while the bride and groom take portraits and later have time to be with their guests.
At the same time, there is a lot going on behind the scenes. Wedding planners dismantle flowers from the wedding ceremony and reuse them for the dinner, go over table settings and details, and make sure everything is ready for the guests to sit down. Waiters light candles and make the final preparations so that the dinner can start promptly and without stress.
Aperitivo is therefore not just a pleasant break, but a crucial part of the planning that allows for quality, structure and a better experience for both the bride and groom and their guests. When the time is well organized, it creates a natural transition to dinner – something you will surely appreciate afterwards.
The photos from the aperitivo of our bride and groom @sofiewist are good proof of that.

Toastmaster in destination weddings – interaction and coordination on the wedding day
The toastmaster plays a crucial role on the wedding day and is central to ensuring that the dinner, speeches and transitions flow seamlessly. The role requires good preparation, structure and confidence, especially in destination weddings where many elements must be coordinated at the same time.
At Prosjekt Bryllup we work closely with the toastmaster both during the planning phase and during the wedding day itself. Our role is to support, relieve and ensure that the toastmaster can focus fully on the execution, while we have control over logistics, schedule and details in the background.
Toastmaster Magnus Søndenå @ magnus_sondena had everything in place, and we had a great collaboration in the months leading up to the wedding of Moa Högdahl & Simen Schønningsen. Here's what Magnus has to say about the collaboration with Prosjekt Bryllup:
"Prosjekt Bryllup were fantastic to work with! Their experience and expertise were invaluable during the preparations, especially for a first-time toastmaster.
Prosjekt Bryllup were helpful from the start! They took away a lot of the stress and pressure that comes with being a toastmaster at a wedding.
- Professional through and through»
This interaction between toastmaster and wedding planner is crucial for a calm, structured and successful wedding day for both the bride and groom and everyone involved.

Suppliers, guests and atmosphere – the key to a successful wedding weekend
Good vendors and professional wedding planning are essential for a seamless planning process and a successful wedding weekend. At the same time, we know that there is one factor that is always central to the atmosphere: the bride and groom and their guests.
When the planning, logistics, and details are well taken care of, both the bride and groom and their guests have the space to be present, relax, and truly enjoy the celebration. It is in this interplay of structure and human moments that the real magic happens.
In the weddings we plan in Southern Europe, we see time and time again how strong relationships, togetherness and joy characterize the entire wedding weekend. The wedding in Andalusia is a good example of how closeness, unity and engaged guests contribute to a warm and unforgettable celebration.
Prosjekt Bryllup is responsible for the entire process, from planning and coordination to collaboration with experienced local suppliers, so that the bride and groom can focus on what is most important: sharing the experience with the people who matter most.

Aperitivo in destination weddings – why this time is crucial
The aperitif has become a natural and important part of the wedding day in Norway as well, but in Southern Europe this tradition has long been a central part of the implementation of destination weddings.
These 60–90 minutes between the wedding ceremony and dinner give guests time to mingle in a quiet setting, enjoy snacks and get drinks from the bar. At the same time, the aperitivo creates a relaxed transition between the ceremony and dinner, which contributes to a better flow and atmosphere throughout the wedding day.
For destination weddings in Southern Europe, we always recommend including an aperitivo as part of the program. This gives both the bride and groom and guests time to settle in after the ceremony, while the wedding planner and caterers can prepare the dinner in the background.
The aperitif helps to elevate the overall experience and create a social, elegant and unforgettable start to the evening.

What is a bespoke wedding?
A bespoke wedding is a wedding that is planned, designed and executed from scratch – based on the bride and groom's wishes, needs and vision for the wedding weekend.
In a bespoke wedding, there are no set templates or pre-defined solutions. The bride and groom are free to choose the location, vendors and expression, without being obligated to use specific venues or partners. The goal is to create a holistic experience that feels personal, thoughtful and authentic.
Tailor-made wedding planning requires close dialogue and good collaboration between the wedding planner and the bride and groom throughout the entire process. This ensures that all choices are made with care, and that both the planning and execution experience is safe, structured, and clear.
Prosjekt Bryllup offers full-service, tailor-made wedding planning for destination weddings in Europe, with a focus on quality, flexibility and personalization at every stage.

Preparations
The preparations for your wedding day set the tone for the rest of the celebration. In destination weddings, we always recommend setting aside plenty of time for preparations with your loved ones, in a calm environment free from stress and interruptions.
@moahogdahl Moa & Simen @ simenschonningsen a beautiful vineyard in Jerez de la Frontera where the entire wedding celebration took place. And they had their 20 closest friends staying with them at the vineyard
Starting the day at a relaxed pace allows you to be in the moment, enjoy the company, and create a safe and positive atmosphere before the day's program begins. With structured planning in the background, the bride and groom can focus fully on the experience - knowing that the details have been taken care of.
In destination weddings, like this one at a winery in Jerez de la Frontera, it adds extra value when the bride and groom and their loved ones live together. It creates closeness, tranquility, and a shared experience that characterizes the entire wedding weekend – from preparations to the celebration.
A good start to the day is crucial for the flow of the day, and provides the best starting point for a long day that ends with a memorable celebration.

Tomas Erdis
A good start to your wedding day is crucial for both the mood and the experience. Hair and makeup play an important role, not only for the visual result, but also for your confidence and calmness in the morning.
In March we were with Aina & Jan in Copenhagen for a taster session and trial lessons before their wedding in May. Everything was absolutely fantastic until we got to hair and makeup. Both Nina and the bride quickly realized that this was not right, the energy was not good and the stylist did not deliver on expectations…
5 minutes after she left the room, Nina called Tomas @tomaserdismakeup the most beautiful soul, most talented makeup artist, and our rock.
Tomas gave us his last free Saturday this spring/summer. And saved the (wedding) day.
Tomas made sure that Aina and her groomsmen got the best start to the day. And not least, a fantastic result.
Here are some photos from this beautiful morning at @villacph in May.
And you, by all means - don't forget food and drink this morning either.

Timetable and transfers – how to avoid dead ends on your wedding day in CPH 🇩🇰
By having good driving plans and transitions, we also ensure that you avoid dead ends on your wedding day.
Here in Copenhagen, the guests were transported from the church to the venue by bus. There, @gregers_music was ready with their jazz quartet and ensured a good atmosphere.
@mielckehurtigkarl served a lovely aperitivo and drinks on this sunny day in Fredriksberg.
There were a lot of children at this wedding, so we set up toys for them on the lawn so that the time wouldn't be too long.
The bride and groom also chose to serve the wedding cake from @torte_cph before dinner, accompanied by lovely champagne from @mielckehurtigkarl
Are you planning it yourself? Make sure to plan the day, times, content and transitions well, avoid dead ends and create a good structure for your wedding day. Let this be the day and party that goes down in history.
